haven't been blogging much, so here it goes:

got my 3 wisdom teeth pulled out on thursday. after the anesthetics i could barely move the lower part of my jaw. then my dentist went in with hammers and drills and scissors and etc. twas boisterous. there was a intern or assistant that was near dentist's side, observing what's going on. and from the pale expression on her face i could tell it wasn't pretty inside. got out of dentist's room, unable to talk besides make incoherent noises that accompanys my random guestures. and guess who i saw in the waiting room? no other than sean z, who was also getting rid of his wisdoms. he saw the grotesque features on my face and dark crimson blood still gushing in my mouth, and surely didn't go in the dentist's room with a smile. i pointed and laughed (or tried) at him, and at the same time pitied him for going thru the same thing i just did. as i'm typing right now of 72 hours later, the gums are still slightly bleeding, but i've resumed my daily comsumption of chinese food, chocolate, and other junk food.

saturday, got up and went to fry's to return my defective harddrive and speakers. got a replacement of my 160gig western digital, and then upgraded my speakers to a 60watt 5.1 surround system speakers by labtec =) then went to my optometrist to get my eyes examined, since as of late i sensed my eyes were diminishing. after about 10 minutes of examination, the guy told me my myopia of both eyes didn't not aggrevate since last year (i was like, sweet...); but alas, what's causing my eyes to worsen turned out to be astigmatism, which is "A refractive defect of a lens or other optical system that prevents light rays from converging at a single point, resulting in a blurred or imperfect image." i was just jumping in joy upon hearing the news... except not. at least myopia stopped... for now. went home with mixed feelings, and decided to take better care of my eyes from now on... but resumed my routine gaming the next day.

christmas is almost upon us~!

ugh my first semester's grades aren't too pleasant. i thought i was gonna do bad, but i guess i surpassed my own expectations... currently hanging around the probation mark, but hopefully next semester is a fresh start =/

yay @ houston now =) finals are over and it's time to chill and relax the next 4 weeks! definitely some exercise/bball. since we needed to leave at 8:30am today, i decided the hell with it, didn't sleep, and stayed up till 7~ish gaming/surfing/chatting(some ppl dont' sleep either =)). can't comment much about the ride since i slept all the way through it =)

new 150gb harddrive about to fail, 20~mbs of bad sectors =/ that calls for another trip to fry's next weekend...

making my blog short and concise today. for the BHS people, mrs. bunner passed away recently. absolutely the best and nicest english teacher i've had in my life. my condolences to her family going through this rough period of time, and may she rest in peace.

she's at a better place now.

yay went to yi's b-day party last night @ ken's place. mainly just hanged out, had icecream cake (yum!), and watched yi unwrapped her presents. (i feel so bad for not giving her a present =/) and later on we ended up playing Cranium. pretty complicated/hard game, but it was halirious trying to see each other's futile attempts to insinuate his/her teammates what thing/place/person he/she really meant. =)

left ken's place around 3ish am. came back and played more NFS:underground. that game is sooo addicting. graphic is so tight. went to sleep around 5ish and got up... 12 hours later when the sun set =) so my day's been short, since we've only been up 4 hours so far =)

slept thru the 3rd friday in a row... this can't be too good for my grades...

and it was sooo damn cold today... 25 degrees according to weather.com. and MAN the wind was like crazz...

oh wait, i haven't left the room yet today =) teeheehee...

if only we could get the winter break w/o the finals or the cramming involved for the finals... now THAT would be sweet =/

Situational Issue:

You're walking down a deserted street with your wife and two small children.

Suddenly, a dangerous looking man with a huge knife comes around the corner, locks eyes with you, screams obscenities, raises the knife,
and charges.
You are carrying a Glock .40 and you are an expert shot.
You have mere seconds before he reaches you and your family.
What do you do?



Liberal (Californians) Answer:

Well, that's not enough information to answer the question! Does the man look poor or oppressed?
Have I done anything to him that would inspire him to attack?
Could we run away?
What does my wife think?
What about the kids? Will I traumatize them if I act violently?
Could I possibly swing the gun like a club and knock the knife out of his hand?
What does the law say about this situation? Could I possibly get sued over this?
Does the Glock have an appropriate safety built into it?
Why am I carrying a loaded gun and what kind of message does this send to society and my children?
Is it possible he'd be happy with just killing me?
Does he definitely want to kill me or would he just be content to wound me?
If I were to grab his knees and hold on, could my family get away while he was stabbing me?
This is all so confusing! I wish I could talk with Sarah Brady right now.
Hmmm...I need to debate this with some friends for a few days to try to come to a conclusion!
