i usually don't attempt to depress my countable number of blog reader by bitching at random stuff that isn't going my way, so press the Back button while you still can.

but this week is one of the worst weeks (yeah, no longer just an 1-day-a-week thing; now suckiness comes in 7-day packages w/ no additional charge!) here in ut thus far. you know it's not normal when you are not sleepy after 4 hours of cramming, 2 hours of sleep from 5am-7am, failing diff eq midterm from 8-9:30, doing physics pre-lab 9:30-12, and class from 12-7:30pm. it's becoming a daily routine for me to walk down Speedway everyday with heavy sore eyelids that blink incessantly every 5 seconds. and it's even a better feeling that you know after one night of cramming or last-minute homework wrap-up, another long day is only a couple of hours (literally) ahead of you... i find myself nap more and more often in between classes, something i did rarely even during the 4 years @ bellaire. right now it's a friday night, and you'd prolly think i am chilling or doing something slightly less strainful than... doing the program that's due saturday noon. yes, saturday at noon.

not only my grades are suffering, i seriously doubt my body could take any more of this. my appetite is getting satiated by the 1 meal of jester *food* (term used loosely here) a day, my stamina is nonexistant and i'm lazier than usual (hard to believe, but true). thank God for the upcoming spring break, which is so within reach, yet so far away...

honestly, i haven't discovered the "fun" college lifestyle everybody else is talking about. or maybe just because i'm cursed by EE.

back to c++ fun.

/end rant, for the moment

Finger Eleven - "One Thing"

Restless tonight
Cause I wasted the light
Between both these times
I drew a really thin line
Its nothing I planned
And not that I can
But you should be mine
Across that line

If I traded it all
If I gave it all away for one thing
Just for one thing
If I sorted it out
If I knew all about this one thing
Wouldnt that be something

I promise I might
Not walk on by
Maybe next time
But not this time

Even though I know
I dont want to know
Yeah I guess I know
I just hate how it sounds

wow, something finallys stirred up the deep desire down inside me to start talking to myself/blogging again!

last night, me and a bunch of ppl were bballing at gregory. after it closed at 10, harry decided to watch my recorded nba rookie challenge at my place. but it turned out the 7.4-gigabyte recorded bball game didn't not have any sound! so we were just doing some random stuff (me in my natural habitat of warcraft and harry sneering at how crappy i'm playing while trying to get his hw done at my place... right). around 1:15am austin time, harry thought he saw somethign behind my window blind and took a look, which turned out to be HUGE snowflakes about half a inch in diameter. i was like "holy *beep* no way!!!" so i quickly wrapped up my wc3 game, put on a pair of sandles w/o even bothering w/ socks, and went down stairs in the courtyard, where a congregation of students already started to enjoy the weather. and when i stared up stair over my head in disbelief, IT REALLY IS SNOW!!!!!! i think right there my mind turned into a 6 year old and i started to have an emotional breakdown (tears optional). it's been my first sight at snow in well over 7 years and boy was i EXCITED or WHAT! a thin layer of snow already covered the outdoor benches and tables, and i eagerly collected a handful of it and whacked it at harry's general direction (whistles innocently). at that time snowballs were already flying left and right and we took cover. soon jery, xi, and tao came down as well. snow continued to fall down incessantly, and we got a few ppl that dared to throw snowballs at the bypassing police cars. jery came up with the bright idea that we oughta head over to ENS where the snow atop of the bridge over dean keeton would not melt (what a EE nerd). we snow-fought our way across campus and eventually settled behind RLM, where we met up w/ david. we rolled snows downhills in attempt to make a snowman, which failed miserably but was fun. at that time, my hands were so cold that they were swollen to about 150% of what it's suppose to be and has no feeling whatsoever except... pain, but it was *good* pain! my cloth was all wet and my body was shaking from the little clothe i have on, plus now it's wet =P but i could care less, i didn't give a damn, it's SNOW! then tao the kungfo freak, decided to do a fly-kick on the hugh snowballs that we've created, and fell flat on his face when his foot only went 1/2 way thru the snowball... jery, apparently angry at the hardword shattered into little chunks of snows (which were still pretty big), picked up a hugh chunk w/ both hands and chased tao across the field w/ it. tao ran for his life, slipped, fell again, and almost got buried by snow, courtesy of jery. the rest of us had a good laugh. it was goooooooooood.

after 2 hours of mad fun in the snow, snowfall started to slow down. the group of us, wet, tired, cold, muddy, etc decided to finally head back to our dorms. it was the best time i've had in, well, 7+ years =) and 'twas a shame that it could not last for another, say, 3 weeks. too bad oren missed it =)

i'd like to see the statistics of average life expectancy of EE major students... 8 1/2 hours of classes a day is just a tad too much.
